Learning Mission

Interactive Function Explorer

Change coefficients, trace points, and compare the shapes and key features of four important function families.

Each function remembers its own settings when you switch tabs.

Linear functiony = 1x + 0

A constant slope creates a straight line.

Quick examples

x = 1.0

What to notice about a linear function

A constant rate of change

For every increase of 1 in x, the y-value changes by the slope m. Changing c moves the line vertically without changing its slope.
